Camper Screen Room
With a camper screen room, the weekend warrior has a way to add an additional room to the side of a camper. The foldout unit pops out with screened walls to increase the amount of floor and other space in the interior compartment. Campers are typically tiny inside, a closed quarters that scrunches from all sides. The additional room can add more space than the entire camper had to begin with. It's good for sleeping when a cool breeze can make a hot night much more comfortable. They are better than a hammock because you can't fall out of them, and better than a sleeping bag that you lay on the cold ground. A trip to the mountains in August is not a bad time to put that camper to good use. Gold miners traveled the hills by foot, in the 1800's. They'd look for flake and nugget gold in the streams of the Rockies, the Sierra foot hills, or in Alaska. When they'd pan for gold and find the yellow metal sparkling under the sun, they'd follow the stream, searching for the mother lode. They didn't have gas powered vehicles with sleeping accommodations, so they had to cook their food over an outdoor fire. Grub wasn't as convenient back then, for there were no canned goods and no can openers. Their tents and cooking supplies were packed by horse and mule. Today's gold-bug camper pulls off the road and alongside a mountain creek in a fixed up pickup truck. He pulls a gas powered vacuum out of the vehicle and gets to work with a suction hose that sucks the mud and gravel from the bedrock of the stream. A centrifuge separator sends the gravel and worthless muck out one direction, and collects the gold in another. The water is redirected back to the stream from whence it came. They are modern little miracles that can do 100 times the work of one man in one day. They cost a few thousand dollars, but when gold is found, they pay for themselves many times over, and only within a few hours. When the gold-bug wants to relax, he hops in the screen room. It's convenience is not overlooked by the fact hat it is lightweight and easy to setup. The screen-like fabric is mildew resistant and the waterproof covering overhead means things don't get wet when it rains. The whole thing is inexpensive, and when when one is ready to move, it folds up to a very small footprint. It won't shrink or fade from ultraviolet rays because the fabric has a UV protective coating. The extra room it provides makes the outdoor experience much more enjoyable. Room Divider Shelves |
